Bayware brings DevOps agility to cloud networking. Bayware makes DevOps self-sufficient. Bayware is a service mesh software platform that provides secure interconnectivity between application microservices on any Linux infrastructure and whether packaged as containers or virtual machines. Bayware is ideal for hybrid clouds and hybrid VM-container applications. Bayware eliminates network element and ingress/egress gateway configuration by capturing application communications intent as a "service graph" that is based entirely on an application's services topology. Bayware is zero-trust out of the box. Bayware creates a complete set of identify, security, routing and telemetry services automatically based on the service graph. No other SDN or VNFs are required to establish secure connectivity cross between clouds, clusters, or other trust domains. CNIs and complete logging and telemetry are built in and configured automatically. Bayware is faster and easier to deploy, is copy-paste portable across clouds, is highly secured and uses the commands and visuals that DevOps wants to use. Bayware consists of four software components. Fabric manager installs Orchestrators, Processors, and Agents all of which are control plane only. The installation of a Bayware processor virtual machine includes a standard OVS. Bayware agents program eBPF in the workload host Linux kernel. Only Linux and OVS are in the data plane. DevOps includes the Bayware elements with the application code. Bayware automatically generates, configures, and adapts the secure overlay network across any set of public, private or hybrid clouds with full observability.
