GigaVUE® Cloud Suite for Azure, a key component of Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline, acquires and processes network traffic from your Azure environments before distributing optimized network-derived intelligence to the security and observability tools of your choice. You get complete application and packet-level visibility into all data-in-motion running within Azure public cloud — without having to invest in new tools.

By extending your existing on-prem or cloud tools to monitor and secure your Azure workloads and applications, you can:

• Strengthen security and compliance postures with full lateral, inbound, and outbound visibility, plus proactive detection of malware, rogue software, data exfiltration, and other security breaches
• Simplify cloud migrations and IT processes by sending traffic of interest to the monitoring and security tools of your choice
• Expedite issue identification and root cause analysis with network-level intelligence that goes beyond observability

Gigamon deep observability goes even further by augmenting the capabilities of your current MELT-based SIEM, APM, and observability tools with actionable network-level intelligence. This powerful combination of network-based data and MELT helps SecOps and CloudOps teams speed issue resolution and root cause analysis. It also brings new security use cases to your current set of observability tools, such as detecting unauthorized activities like crypto mining or compliance risks such as expiring TLS certificates.

The solution includes three key components:

Cloud Tap Modules: Deploy lightweight modules in any Azure VM or node instance with GigaVUE Universal Cloud Tap (UCT). Only one module per Azure VM or worker node instance is required, regardless of the number of tools. Prefilter production traffic, mirror it, and send it to GigaVUE V Series nodes and tools.

GigaVUE V Series: Deep observability nodes deployed in one or more VNets aggregate, select and distribute traffic to tools. Expand GigaVUE V Series capabilities with GigaSMART® applications, such as Packet De-duplication, Application Filtering Intelligence and Application Metadata Intelligence.

GigaVUE-FM: Get centralized deep observability orchestration and management. Configure traffic policies for Universal Cloud Tap (UCT) and GigaVUE V Series with a simple drag-and-drop user interface. Supports Azure and third-party orchestration methods, including Terraform.
