MATLAB Production Server™ is an application server for integrating MATLAB® analytics into web, database, and production enterprise applications running on dedicated servers or in Microsoft Azure. You can create algorithms in MATLAB, package them using MATLAB Compiler SDK™, and then deploy them to MATLAB Production Server without recoding or creating custom infrastructure. The elasticity of Azure infrastructure combined with MATLAB Production Server enables your application to support many users simultaneously.
This solution template for Azure incorporates best practices to let you quickly create, configure, and deploy a scalable, highly-available MATLAB Production Server environment. MathWorks provides ARM templates that use preconfigured virtual machines so you can get up and running in less time.
Software costs: You will be charged for the use of MATLAB Production Server software on a per vCPU/per hour basis. The default VM provided during provisioning is a 4 vCPU D4s v3 that runs 4 MATLAB Production Server worker processes. If you select a different VM during provisioning, you must change the number of MATLAB Production Server workers in the dashboard to match the number of vCPUs in the VM you have selected. For example, if you select a D8s v3 which has 8 vCPUs, you must change the number of workers in the dashboard to 8 to match the number of vCPUs. The total amount you are charged for MATLAB Production Server software is based on the number of vCPUs across all your VMs. For example, if you have selected a 8 vCPU D8s V3 VM and you have chosen to run 4 VMs in your scaleset, you will charged for 8 vCPUs x 4 VMs = 32 vCPUs of usage.
