What is TRACE?

TRACE is a cyber threat Intelligence software generating intelligence using deception technology. The threat data is generated using multiple sensors which is then aggregated and analyzed at the centralized collector.

How does TRACE Work?

1. TRACE helps an organization to improve the security posture of their networks by providing them with threat event logs.


2. The sensors can be placed in the DMZ and internal network of an organization or externally as per the requirement.


3. The sensors generate attack logs when it detects an attack on the service it is emulating.


4. The sensors capture the threat data and send it to a collector where the data is analyzed and threat intelligence is generated.


5. The sensors automatically reboot and reset themselves periodically to flush out any persistent attack vector.


6. The sensors automatically update themselves once a new update for TRACE is released.

Who should use TRACE?

TRACE is designed for security analysts and network administrators.

TRACE is a tool which can be placed in any network to track and log cyber attacks. It also generates threat intelligence that can aid in the implementation of proactive cybersecurity measures.

How can I use TRACE for my Infrastructure?

TRACE sensor can be deployed in two ways:-

Detecting Lateral Movement:-

Internal network where the sensors are mapped to a static IP address within the organization’s intranet.

Detecting Perimeter Attacks:-

External public internet in the organization’s DMZ. Sensors will be mapped to a Public IP.

I have created the TRACE Virtual Machine, what to do now?

After creating the TRACE Virtual Machine, contact Whizhack Technologies Pvt. Ltd. by sending a mail to developers@whizhack.com.
All relevant information regarding installation and usage will be shared once the mail is received.
