Teradata VantageCloud is a connected multi-cloud data platform for enterprise analytics. Includes Native Object Store (NOS) Read/Write, Open Table Format (OTF) and advanced Vantage Analytics Library.
VantageCloud provides fastest path to scalable, high-performance analytics to tackle complex business challenges. Offers full integration with preferred tools and languages (SQL, Python, R) and data sources (object stores, HDFS, more) to deliver the answers you need.
Integration with Azure blob enables direct querying of object store data. Analytic and data warehouse use cases include production operational analytics, test and development, quality assurance, disaster recovery, sandbox / data lab, and discovery.
This Do-It-Yourself (DIY) software subscription includes security and performance improvements over previous releases. Software consistency across deployments means quick, low-risk migration and ease of use.
Apart from the Advanced SQL Engine, Teradata VantageCloud also includes rights to use the following Teradata ecosystem applications that can be deployed as part of this offer or can be separately deployed:
- Teradata Viewpoint (Single System) allows administration and management of your Teradata Vantage system
- Teradata Data Stream Controller allows users to back up and restore data from Azure Blob storage
- Teradata Server Management provides monitoring and alerting capabilities for your Teradata Vantage system
- Teradata Query Service provides API access to your data in Teradata Vantage
- Teradata QueryGrid allows users to access and query data in Hadoop (including Azure HDInisght), Spark, Presto clusters in Azure or on-premises

Support for Esv5 instance size (Enterprise Cluster)
Esv5 is the latest Azure VM series based on Intel’s 3rd Gen Ice Lake processors, offering higher compute power, improved I/O throughput compared to Esv4.
Multi-node Clique (MNC) Deployment Support
Multi-node Clique (MNC) is a high-availability architecture where all compute nodes share the same storage disks, enabled on Azure via Microsoft’s shared disk capability. If a node fails, a Hot Standby Node (HSN) can take over, minimizing downtime and disruption to business operations.
