Unlock Your Data with DataCapsule by BizApps Unlocked
Microsoft keeps 28 days. DataCapsule keeps it all. Secure, simple, and under your control.
One app. Zero gaps. Permanent peace of mind for your Business Central data.
What is DataCapsule?
Microsoft only retains Business Central backups for 28 days. For teams responsible for audit readiness, regulatory compliance, or long-term reporting, that’s simply not enough.
DataCapsule extends your capabilities by automatically exporting and archiving your Business Central data to Azure Cold Storage within your own tenant—giving finance leaders the retention they need, IT teams the control they want, and business leaders the insights they expect.
Key Benefits
1. Historical Data Access: Retrieve and analyze past data snapshots—even years later. Perfect for audit preparation or year-over-year reporting.
2. Enhanced Data Flexibility: Restore exported data to an Azure SQL instance to build dashboards, run queries, or feed reporting tools like Power BI—no reliance on API limitations.
3. Improved Integrations: Seamlessly connect to your organization’s data warehouse or analytics stack, enabling BI and IT teams to power reports with full control over structure and access.
4. Efficient Cold Storage: Cost-effective Azure storage tiers (default: Cold) keep data accessible but out of your production environment—ideal for clean ERP performance with long-term visibility.
How it Works
DataCapsule runs as a background-managed Azure application, paid via Azure Marketplace:
- Exports your Business Central data to your Azure tenant
- Archives it into Azure Cold Storage, monitored for reliability
- Restore to an Azure SQL database for analytics, dashboards, audits, or historical investigations
- Maintain access to your data, even after you stop using Business Central
Microsoft supports re-importing data from Azure SQL into Business Central.
