Get Started with This Ready-To-Go GeoPandas on Ubuntu22.04

Here we have installed GeoPandas on Ubuntu22.04 in an isolated virtual environment(geo_env). To verify the installation, follow the commands below, become a "super user", and change the directory path to "/root".

To become a "super user": sudo su

To change the directory path to "/root": cd /root/

GeoPandas is installed in the virtual environment, path is /root/anaconda3/envs/geo_env

To activate the virtual environment "geo_env": conda activate geo_env

To check the installed version of GeoPandas: conda list geopandas

To check the installed version of all dependencies(e.g. conda list numpy) : conda list package_name

To come out of the virtual environment: conda deactivate
