This image is pre-configured with Gradio and Streamlit software you need to get started with data science, AI-ML on Azure. You can simply create a new Azure VM using this image from the azure marketplace.

To verify that Gradio and Streamlit has been installed correctly, follow the below steps: become a "super user", and change the directory path to "/root".

To become a "super user": sudo su

To change the directory path to "/root": cd /root/

Gradio is installed in the virtual environment(virtual_env)

To activate the virtual environment "virtual_env": source virtual_env/bin/activate

To check the installed version of Gradio: pip show gradio

To check the installed version of Streamlit: pip show streamlit

Open a Python shell by typing python3. Once the Python shell is open, type the following commands to verify the gradio installation: import gradio and type the following commands to verify the streamlit installation: import streamlit

To come out of the virtual environment: deactivate
