TIBCO Datasynapse GridServer

A GridServer deployment consisting of Managers and multiple Engine hosts with auto-scaling.

GridServer is a highly scalable software infrastructure that allows application services to operate in a virtualized fashion, unattached to specific hardware resources. Client applications submit requests to the Grid environment and GridServer dynamically provisions services to respond to the request. Multiple client applications can submit multiple requests in parallel and GridServer dynamically creates multiple service instances to handle requests in parallel on different Grid (compute) nodes. This architecture is therefore highly scalable in both speed and throughput.

Based on the number of tasks submitted to the Grid, new Engine hosts may be spun up to accommodate increased load or existing Engine hosts may be spun down as they become idle. All Engine hosts can be Windows 64 bit or Linux 64 bit and the Manager is running on a Linux 64 bit platform.

This offering has two plans
1) GridServer 7.0.0 Deployment - Combo Mgr & Engines: Template deploys one combo GridServer Manager running on Linux 64 bit and one or more Engine VMs running on Windows 64 bit. It is necessary for the customer to setup a resource group, virtual network, network security group and app registration prior to purchasing this deployment. Values from these other components will be required before the purchase can be completed. One of the parameters is Subscription ID. Normally we would not have to request this of the user, however this value needs to be passed to the startup script for the manager in order to properly configure HPCCA to auto-scale.

2) GridServer_700HF2_Deployment_CycleCloud :  Template deploys a VM on which a CycleCloud Application and an Azure DB cluster for PostgreSQL is installed. CycleCloud creates a GridServer cluster which consists of different Grid components like Primary Director, Secondary Director, Standalone Broker, Failover Broker Nodes, Windows and Linux Nodearrays for GridServer engine. HPPCA is configured on the standalone broker for auto-scaling of Engines.  All Engine hosts can be Windows 2012 64 bit or RHEL7.8 64 bit and the Manager is running on RHEL7.8 64 bit platform.

There are a few pre-requisites for these deployments. You can find those pre-requisites in the respective Plan Description.
These PAYG solutions are charged at USD 0.049/hr per core for GridServer Managers and Engines. This does not include VM and other Azure infrastructure costs.
