Ubuntu 20.04 LTS with Docker CE(™)
Docker is a set of platform-as-a-service products using OS-level virtualization to deliver software in packages called containers. Containers are isolated from one another and bundle their own software, libraries, and configuration files; they can communicate with each other through well-defined channels.
Containers provide a level of isolation similar to virtual machines, but due to the correct use of the low-level mechanisms of the main operating system, they do it with much less load. Because Docker containers are lightweight, a single server or virtual machine can run several containers simultaneously.
Docker CE is a most basic, core Docker version, having all the necessary features included.
Docker could be used to:
- Pack your application (and also used components) into docker containers.
- Distribute and deliver these containers to your teams for development and testing.
- Upload these containers to your productions, both in data centers and in the clouds.
Virtual Pulse provides you with this Ubuntu 20.04 LTS with Docker CE Image, fully pre-configured and ready-to-run in Azure environments. Make app development much easier with us!
