Engine B is creating an open data standard - and access mechanism - for structured and unstructured data. Working with a broad group of accounting firms, Engine B is defining the common standard for data requirements used to deliver financial audits. Currently no such standard exists that is being deployed across multiple firms with each firm defining and developing their own data models.

This data solution will be primarily for the Professional Services industry, initially for Audit and spreading out in Tax, Legal and Insurance, although the impact will be far reaching as it will unlock the ability of firms to access data (structured and unstructured) from client systems in a standardised way.
