Data Protection becomes complex having more time takes to manage and maintain hybrid cloud infrastructure. I.Protect is a self-developed Data Protection Life Cycle Management Engine to address common tasks and let end users run these “self-service” Automation Processes from Web Console; along it streamlines and automates critical data management tasks like backup and disaster recovery to Azure/On-Premise.

• The I.Protect is designed to address automation process in an environment which can be a long process which is time consuming

• Users can automate their client install, retrieval, configuration and retirement by a few clicks and do not have to worry if they need to recover back the retired client.

• The workflow includes performing a full  backup with extended retention to ensure data is available should any retrieval information is required.

• Aside from that It also labels the retired client so that backup administrators are able to distinguish active clients and non active  ones

• The workflow also has a validation check to ensure that if the client is also a media agent, it will not be able to proceed and manual validation needs to be done to affirm the retiree of the client/media agent. Aside from that, it acts as a safety net to ensure active media agents will not be retired if users accidently provide the wrong server for retiring.
