Debian server "Bookworm" is suitable for many different use cases: from development servers to cluster systems; and for database, web and storage servers. At the same time, additional quality assurance efforts like automatic installation and upgrade tests for all packages in Debian's archive ensure that buster fulfills the high expectations that users have of a stable Debian release.

Debian is the seed and base for many other distributions. Many of the most popular Linux distributions, like Ubuntu, Knoppix, PureOS, SteamOS, Redhat or Tails, choose Debian as a base for their software.
