Squid Easy is a great caching web proxy that supports protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, GOPHER, and many more. The proxy server has advanced access control functions, QoS quality of service (delay pools), and can create an “accelerator” for HTTP servers (Reverse Proxy).

In a simple way, it is an intermediary between the client (user's computer) and the resource (website, server). The client sends a request to a resource through a proxy server, which, in turn, either makes a request on its own behalf and returns a response to the client, or takes it from the cache.

Squid Easy optimizes the data flow between the client and server to increase performance, keep popular data, and determine the required bandwidth. The proxy server also has extensive capabilities for routing requests to servers to build complex hierarchies of caching servers.
