The Azure HPC Cache provides filesystem performance and scalability for computationally intensive workloads. Easy to launch from the Azure portal, gain low-latency access to file-based storage locations both on-premises and in the cloud. Customers use the Azure HPC Cache to optimize the accessibility of data needed for active jobs to build large-scale efficiencies.

The Azure HPC Cache is:
- Easy to set up and manage with a simple interface right in the Azure portal and an aggregated namespace to simplify storage access.
- Able to automatically identify hot data being used in active jobs and provide very fast access to that data.
- Flexible scale that you can grow and reduce to match demand
- Able to support NFS and Azure Blob storage environments
With Azure HPC Cache, you can achieve the performance and scale needed for your data-intensive workflows.
You can quickly create an Azure HPC Cache resource and match storage to the cache.
Note: To use Azure Blob storage, an empty container is required. Either create a new container before starting this process or add the Blob storage later. Learn more about prerequisites and about choosing the throughput setting for your cache.
