Images for CDP Public Cloud environment: datalake and datahub
Cloudera Data Platform Public Cloud makes it easier and faster to achieve high-value analytics from the Edge to AI in a familiar cluster model in the cloud.
The starting point is an environment, a logical subset of your cloud provider account including a specific virtual network (https://docs.cloudera.com/management-console/cloud/overview/topics/mc-concept-environment.html).
A CDP environment consists of mainly three elements:
- Freeipa: offers a central solution for identity management (https://docs.cloudera.com/cdp/latest/security-overview/topics/security-how-identity-management-works-in-cdp.html)
- Data Lake: a group of VMs for central governance of Data Hubs (https://docs.cloudera.com/management-console/cloud/overview/topics/mc-concept-data-lake.html)
- Data Hubs: once an environment is up, you can launch datahubs, featuring the widest range of analytical workloads—including streaming, ETL, data marts, databases, and machine learning—CDP Data Hub lets you easily move existing workloads from on premises to the cloud or build directly in the cloud (https://www.cloudera.com/products/data-hub.html)
