To verify that Gensim has been installed correctly, follow the below steps: become a "super user", and change the directory path to "/root/".

To become a "super user": sudo su

To change the directory path to "/root": cd /root/

Gensim and its dependacies (numpy, scipy) are installed in the virtual environment "Gensim_env"

To activate the virtual environment "Gensim_env": source Gensim_env/bin/activate

To check the installed version of NumPy: pip show numpy

To check the installed version of SciPy: pip show scipy

To check the installed version of Gensim: pip show gensim

Open a Python shell by typing python3. Once the Python shell is open, type the following commands:

• import gensim
• gensim.__version__ : To check the installed version of Gensim

To come out of the virtual environment: deactivate
