Ubuntu 18.04 LTS with Docker CE(™)
Docker is open source software used to develop, test, deliver and run web applications in containerized environments. It is needed for more efficient use of the system and resources, rapid deployment of ready-made software products, as well as for scaling and porting them to other environments with guaranteed preservation of stable operation.
The basic principle of Docker is application containerization. This type of virtualization allows you to package software in isolated container environments. Each of these virtual blocks contains all the necessary elements for the application to work. This makes it possible to run a large number of containers at the same time on one host.
Each container is built from Docker images. Containers run directly from the kernel. Because of this, they consume much fewer resources than hardware virtualization. Isolation of the working environment is carried out using the namespace technology. For each isolated space (container), a unique namespace is created, which provides access to it. Any process running inside a container is limited to a namespace.
This Ubuntu 18.04 LTS with Docker CE(™) Image is provided and pre-configured by Virtual Pulse to be fully ready for deployment and usage in Azure environments.
